Spiritual Warfare

Spiritual Warfare is often one of the most neglected areas of a believer's life. The enemies of our souls never sleep and do what we allow them to do to trash our lives and relationship with Jesus. Fighting the battle is essential for anyone desiring a victorious life in Jesus.

Spiritual Gifts

Spiritual Gifts are, sadly, a point of contention in the church because two extreme views have emerged. One extreme is that the gifts expired after the age of the apostles and the other is gifts can be conjured up by the believer. But in the middle is the reality that God still uses these gifts among His people.

Sex

God's creation was good in the beginning. Sex was a part of that creation and still is considered holy by a few who have experienced the blessing of God in this area of their lives. The world has always exploited this gift to a couple committed for life to one another but believers can still receive that blessing.

The Sabbath

The Sabbath is the 7th day of the week and declared in the Law of Moses to be the sign of the covenant between Israel and God. It is a day of rest for Israel and that rest is a picture of our rest in Jesus. Rest is an important part of our relationship with God and believers should enter that rest through faith.

Marriage

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Marriage was a part of God's creation and serves as an example for our relationship with Jesus. We, the church, are called the Bride of Christ and marriage is a picture of that commitment between a believer and God. Marriages have failed because the Author of marriage was not part of it.

Pornography

Pornography has become so prevalent in our world that there is no foreseeable end to it's production or usage among all ages. It is a tool the devil has used since the beginning when pornographic idols were create using wood, stone, metal etc. To remove its claws from the soul it must be seen for what it is - a trap. Otherwise its victims will continue to suffer under it.

Giving

Giving is a blessing to those who are generous with their resources. However, because of greed and wickedness, generous people have been taken advantage of by many people claiming to represent good causes for charitable giving. And churches have been at the top of the list. But the true blessing of giving comes when a person gives to God cheerfully. This involves not just money but our time and other resources as well.

Racism

When God created man, He created man in His own image. Human beings reflect attributes of God just be being human. In the scriptures people groups are categorized by families not merely race and the church should a place where racism is not even thought of. But it's not. However, individual believers can be that light in the darkness of racism by simply obeying Jesus's commands to love one another.

End Times

The end of the age has always been a hot topic among people. And there are good reasons to believe we are approaching that time where Jesus said He would return. However, putting more emphasis on the end times than on living a faithful life following Jesus has, unfortunately, occupied the minds of many in the church today creating a lot of dissension among believers. Walking in the Spirit is the key to overcoming fear of the end.

Your Race

The Scriptures say that everyone knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. For those of us who actually believe what the Scriptures say, we understand our life is not simply here to do whatever we want, rather it's to glorify our King. And we do that when we obey Him and follow His lead. And in the end of our journey, our departure will be glorious. So we run the race to win.

Fruit of the Spirit

When a person has received Jesus, by faith, and believed upon His name, the Holy Spirit invades that person's soul. This invasion brings new life into the believer as they now have the Holy Spirit operating within them. The evidence of the Holy Spirit in a person is their changed behavior and obvious godliness. This is called the fruit of the Spirit and should be evident in everyone claiming to be a follower of Jesus.

Parenting

Along with many other experiences in life, children can do more to grow a person than just about anything else. Using the Scriptures as our handbook and the Holy Spirit as our guide, believers can find peach even in the chaos of child rearing. Children are a blessing from God and when raised in the love and discipline of the Holy Spirit, our children can experience their own relationship with Jesus.

Judgment

We as believers are called to a life of holiness and that means making judgments regarding good and evil. We must judge righteously not hypocritically.

The Judgement of God is something many in our world seem to be ignorant of. If they were aware of why God makes judgements they could realize His love in a greater way.

God's wrath comes when He sees fit for the evil that is embraced by a person or society.
